Last week, researchers announced that they've identified antibodies that kill more than 90% of all strains of the AIDS virus. It may be the best news in HIV prevention and treatment research since effective antiretrovirals were first introduced more than a decade ago.

As hopeful as this might be for Western Nations, if anything comes of it, countries in Africa and other underdeveloped nations will most likely remain untouched by the results since Pharmaceuticals have repeatedly blocked any attempts to sell affordable drugs and treatments to nations who cannot pay their fees.
